Stencil Generator is maintained by himotou. It is an independent project, not an official product of Cricut, Silhouette, Google, or any cutting-machine manufacturer. Questions and corrections are welcome at saczjc@outlook.com.

How the generator works

The tool reads an image in your browser and uses grayscale conversion, blur, edge enhancement, adaptive thresholding, and morphological cleanup to produce a two-color preview. Default settings are recommended from image statistics, not from a generative AI model.

You can adjust edge strength, threshold, foreground and background colors, or use material parameter presets as starting points. The tool provides PNG and experimental SVG downloads.

What it does not guarantee

• It does not automatically add bridges, create multilayer stencils, or export PDF files.
• Structure warnings are simple connected-component checks, not a physical strength or safety assessment.
• SVG export uses a basic pixel-path method. It is not a production-ready contour tracer; inspect and edit paths in a vector editor before cutting.
• It does not validate machine compatibility, material thickness, cutter settings, or tattoo suitability.

Responsible use

Use images you own or have permission to reproduce. Print and inspect a small test before using costly material. Follow your equipment manufacturer's safety guidance. Image processing stays in the browser; see the Privacy Policy for the separate use of analytics and advertising services.
